Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. Her birthplace was within South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was on the southern part of London Council Estate. She attended The Brit School aged 14. She studied acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at the school, she was a part-time actor in several performances on stage, such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her career as an actress with the film Storm Damage. The actress has been a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. After the film's success, Madekwe played Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared for six seasons Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi part on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe was also the lead character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment in the year 2008. Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show aired on The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series of Revenge on ABC during two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she would quit the show after completing a guest episode in the first episode of season three. From 2014 until 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. In June 2012, Madekwe married her long-time boyfriend, actor Iddo Goldberg. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he has also appeared alongside Madekwe on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by a big family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Her four older brothers were also present: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey during winter. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. In the age of two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley began to be a dancer after this. Ashley continued to compete through high school graduation, with top divisions like tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop and many more. Ashley won the best soloist honor at each major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just the few.
