Beverley is well-known for playing Lucy Camden Kinkirk in the television series 7th Heaven. Mitchell's best friend Angela 15, who was fifteen years old at the time of her death in April 1997 as a result of an accident in the road, passed away on 11th April 1997. Mitchell had a very difficult experience and Angela was the inspiration for her track Angel on the album she released her debut. This experience was written about in her book Chicken Soup For the Preteen Soul, and 7th Heaven's episode "Nothing Endures But Change". Her close friend Angela lost her life through a fatal car accident when she was only fifteen years old. This was extremely difficult for Mitchell and the track Angel in her first album written for Angela. The song was featured on her 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about her experiences.
